Katinka Bock: Works Oeuvres Werke – Words Mots Worte. by Sabeth Buchmann, Natascha Sadr Haghighian, Kim West.
Paraguay Press.
Texts in English, German and French
May 2010. Edition of 1200
152 pages.

Beautifully designed by Guillaume Mojon (Zurich) this book is the first monograph dedicated to the German artist Katinka Bock. Following a series of solo exhibitions of Bock in France, Germany and Holland since 2007, three authors were invited to write for this book: the art critics and historians Sabeth Buchmann and Kim West, and the artist Natascha Sadr Haghighian. Their three essays offer a variety of writing styles and approaches of art criticism, between empiricism, theory and fiction. But all pursue, in their own way, the very subject of Bock’s work, which is that thinking is a social conduct, maybe the most consequential of social acts.

Zeitgeist, Variations and Repetitions – Save As… Publications

A collection of artworks and essays we feel admiration for and which have an influence to most of the ones who work today.
Inevitably, the ideas of “appropriation” and “appropriation as a resource” are very present. Not only due to the affinity we feel with it, also due to the nature of publishing itself: “to reproduce” or “to quote”.

Zeitgesit.Variations & Repetitions contains contributions by Ignasi Aballí, Adicciones porquesí, Javier Aramburu, Martí Anson, David Bestué / Marc Vives, Rafel G. Bianchi, Luís Bisbe, Luz Broto, Anne Collier, Fito Conesa, Creatures, Folch Studio, Ryan Gander, Dora García, Alex Gifreu, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Rubén Grilo, Lilli Hartmann, Daniel Jacoby, Jeletón, Tamara Kuselman, Juan López, Martí Manen, Fran Meana, Jordi Mitjà, Mariona Moncunill, Jonathan Monk, Julia Montilla, Carme Nogueira, Miguel Noguera, Antonio Ortega, Tania Pardo, Gabriel Pericàs, Jack Pierson, Carles Ponsí, Job Ramos, María Ramió, Tere Recarens, Alex Reynolds, Xavier Ristol, Francesc Ruiz, Saladestar, Joan Saló, Dean Sameshima, Jorge Satorre, Manuel Segade, Gail Thacker, Ignacio Uriarte, Andrea Valdés, Azucena Vieites, Oriol Vilanova, Martín Vitaliti and Alicia Yáñez.

Vortrag in englischer Sprache

During this evening, designer, editor and writer Will Holder presents the seventh issue of de Appel’s “F.R.David”, dealing with “the compression of letter-writing as cybernetic translation – vs. redundant delivery of intention – from one form to another, ‘With Love,”. Including contributions from Alison Knowles, Tine Melzer, Esperanza Rosales and others…

“An Attempt to Evolve, XXIV: Berkeley the circling dog”

Two dogs sit in a room, furnished by a nurturing hand (cut flowers, floral curtains, labelled storage pots). Actually, one of them doesn’t sit, nor lie on the plainly up holstered chaise-longue. His ears hang down, as do the corners of his mouth and the brow above the eyes that
stare desperately into an unseen space. His head is propped up by the wide back of the chaise-longue, which also ensures that he won’t see – only hear the questions from behind his right shoulder, of – the other dog with the pointed ears, sitting: wide-eyed, upright and smiling in
a straight-backed chair; he supports a pad on his right leg (crossed over left), and pen, in hand, to take down the response to

“And if you ever did catch your tail, are you sure it would make you happy?”
