Product Description
Tomaso De Luca, a winner of the first year of a competition organized by Fondazione Pastificio Cerere and Civita, was offered a period of residency at Pastificio Cerere in Rome. Tomaso's book, developed during the residency, takes advantage of thresholds and interstices, escaping the rigid confines of the white cube to "haunt" the museum's areas of passage, places of transition, unforeseen dimensions.
The book Tomaso De Luca is divided into four chapters - vertical, horizontal, oblique, and The Sleepers - that together form a manual on the posture of thought, showing us that these three positions, to him, are states of the body and soul, similar to those of matter. The notes mingle with the work; the old photographs create a dialogue with the drawings, giving the sense of a journey backwards. The artist has constructed a small illustrated dictionary of exploration and transhumance, loss and rediscovery.
