ar/ge kunst #15 focuses on Andreas Bunte’s film Welt vor der Scwelle (World at the Threshold), revolving around the topic of German postwar religious architecture.
Presented on the occasion of his first solo exhibition at the ar/ge kunst Galerie Museum in Bolanzo, the 16mm film examines the ideological features of religious architecture in Germany after the disaster of the Second World War. Like many of Bunte’s earlier works, Welt vor der Schwelle explores the byways of recent and contemporary history through the relationship between urban landscape and civic development, history of architecture and social behavior.
