Product Description

Plus Jamais Seul is the portrait of five years: 2008—2013. Five years during which Standards has presented works from various French and international artists. It should be relatively easy to imagine the product of five young art students in a medium size town like Rennes, in the end of the 2000s. If this is not the case, this book may contribute to it. Those five years were driven by discussions: an unconscious and spontaneous elaboration of a method. One that doesn’t end here. It is about an always-changing method that allows “to see in every object a question”. This book shows questions. Standards was founded by Maëla Bescond, Corentin Canesson, Julien Monnerie and Damien Le Dévédec, they were joined by Marion Hamard, François Lancien-Guilberteau, Carl Phelipot, Maëva Blandin, Sylvain Le Quéméner, and Cyrielle Dozières. The book includes writings by Nicolas Chardon, Charlie Jeffery, Josselin Ménage, Aurélien Mole, Jacques Sauvageot and Elvan Zabunyan. This book was edited with the help of the CNAP – Centre national des arts plastiques.
