Product Description

This is the fourth issue of Peep-Hole Sheet. With it we close the first series. In one year we have published texts of various genres: from Liam Gillick’s fiction to the programmatic text by Dora García, passing through to the theoretical approach by John Miller. Thus, it doesn’t seem accidental that, almost like in a yearly balance sheet, Jonathan Horowitz, although invited to freely contribute (as is always the case for this publication) decided to write a self-referential text. Yet another kind of artist writing, the text speaks about himself, about Peep-Hole, and about his contribution. Horowitz does this in a tautological manner, questioning wider issues such as the artist’s position, and the difficulty of his role in this publication. The reader’s participation is a performative act, contributing to the genesis of a text that finds its foundation in doubt, indecision, and the difficulty of making choices. These positions are activated through the constant repetition of fundamental questions such as “What am I doing?”; “Why?”
