THIS BOOK IS A PRODUCT.
It is an accident that happened to happen while I was carrying out an artistic research project within a.pass \a.pt. It is not the result of this research, nordoes it draw any conclusions related to this research, It is part of the trash I produced while investigating the question of whether we need a revolution. The production of this book costs € 1.838,04. It got financed by a.pass \a.pt because I created it in the name of artistic research. This book is nothing but a conscious exploration and sharing of my subconscious and personal contemplation.What a magical door this is - artistic research - a door leading right into the heart of the institutionalization of contemplation - a new market distributing knowledge, claiming to be an anti-market, because it refers to the values of science rather than the values of production. What a magical effect it has to borrow from scientific terminology: the things we do are no longer regarded as self-centered and useless activity, but as an investigation accompanied by the mysterious belief that one day it will make sense. In the name of research, we suddenly get the permission to be unproductive, to engage in processes rather than production. It seems we found a way to desert from our capitalist duty without having to bite the hand that feeds us, it seems we found a way to fee from the demands of the market. The best thing is: we don't have to offend anyone, nor do we have to have guts or money - as long as we attach to an institution. In the name of research we can declare that we areworking cause investigating while continuing to engage in free-time-activities such as going to the movies or reading books. We might even have fun. The only thing we have to do is to adopt a name which in itself sells the illusion of purpose and use value and we can obey to the desired qualities of a world infected by the capitalist insect without experiencing any loss or pain.
