“Wurst Finger” by Sami Eschmann is the very first publication of the publishing platform, Doppell Edition. The book is edited by Lucas Liccini, who founded and runs Doppell Edition in Neukölln. Hailing from Switzerland, Sami Eschmann is a passionate illustrator and storyteller. His work effortlessly combines a rare blend of wit, nonsense and absurdity, accurately reflecting his unique sense of humor. Eschmann’s raw and uncomplicated style gives the book a very personal and approachable note. Similarities can be drawn to David Shrigley and yet Sami manages to enunciate the naivety of his drawings with a somewhat dry, Swiss whimsicality, not taking his himself or his work too seriously.
