Tribute to Cindy Sherman with a short film by Bertrand Bonello in which the actress Asia Argento, face to face with her double, questions us on the photographer and his model, on the original and the copy. When a filmmaker sets in movement the work of the photographer and thus extends the reach of the fixed image.
La robe de Mariée

Orly Dahan’s work combines memories, illusions, childhood wounds by taking as a starting point a wedding dress offered by her mother for her 18th birthday. The artist questions through photography her relation to reality and fiction, to create a work between photography, staging and video.

In honor of the VU’ Agency’s 20th anniversary, twenty photographers were invited to do a series of photographs on Paris. Together with FEMIS [the French film school] , the agency also asked young filmmakers to make a short film portrait of one of the participating photographers. Stéphane Raymond directed A memorable fancy, which follows Swedish photographer JH Engström in his work at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Here is her account of this unusual experience:

Michael Ackerman and Duane Michals explore in their own unique way the proposition of a photography driven by story-telling : a certain approach to narrative. For Michals, the subject becomes the sequence ; for Ackerman, the story comes to life through the abstraction of the photographic book and the sequence of images placed one after the other.
