Under Construction I

The photo essay ‹Under Construction 1› documents the temporary architecture of scaffolding in three British cities. Created to secure the renovation work on an architecture that was actually built to last, these partly completely concealing, partly terrace shaped scaffolds create a mask-like improvised dressing-up in the streetscape. The photographs examine the visual effect of these unintentional aesthetic interventions in several examples.
