Product Description

The word "Qorban" was used in the Bible and the Talmud in a religious sense of "Sacrifice". Many years later, in the late 18th century, Jewish writers living in Europe began to use that word in a non-religious as "Victim", initially due to the influence of German on Yiddish and then on Hebrew. The book visualizes the dictionary definition of the Hebrew word "Qorban" on a Two-way timeline, tracking its semantic change.
The book was printed in Risograph, from the scans of the original relief prints, Originally printed in collagraphy technique in a special edition of 6 copies. The images were made using putty materials for repairing walls in 2 colors.
