RUM WIE NUM

In RUM WIE NUM, the late multimedia artist Ferdinand Kriwet collected poems, prose and plays. Most of the material comes from early texts, written when he was between 14 to 17 years old during boarding school in Bad Sachsa and Heidelberg while further lines are taken from this time in Dresden in 2012. Some additional words were added in Bremen in 2018.

Kriwet has engaged with text, language and concrete poetry since the 1960s. With this last publication, Kriwet closes a circle of legendary artist books. Starting with the book “ROTOR” published in 1961 and his most recent autobiography “SURIUM”, “RUM WIE NUM” combines publications that have been created over 5 decades.
