Ralph's Vol. 2

The Booklyn Artist Alliance has asked Billy Rennekamp and Skye Chamberlain to present the second issue of Ralph’s, their porn-cum-lifestyle magazine/lounge manual. For this emission, “Ralph in Peace,” the wiley duo invoke Ralph’s spirit through photographs taken by that preferred medium of erotic exploit, the mobile telephone. The show continues with a tag-team of sculptures and prints interpenetrated by tables and furniture legs. Rennekamp plays off the erotics of household artillery: plant matter, dog toys, nail extensions. Chamberlain has manipulated plaster tablets to look like Xerox errors, oil spills, or black clamshell notebooks, and offers a series of paintings as consolation for the sexually deprived.
