Random Photo Journal Vol. VI: Living Conditions explores the relationship between identity, place, culture and the conditions that shape everyday life through contemporary photography. Bringing together photographers from across Africa and the international diaspora, this issue presents diverse visual perspectives on lived environments, social realities, personal narratives and cultural expression.

Alongside photographic work, the volume features essays and fiction by Awujo Collective, creative direction by Justyna Obasi, and a selection of fashion designers and concepts, including projects presented at Nairobi Fashion Week 2026. The issue also includes a Fahey/Klein Collectors Project, featuring archival and contemporary works by Peter Beard, Michael Garlington and Edward S. Curtis.
