Instruções de uso: partituras, receitas e algoritmos na poesia e na arte contemporâneas is an essay by Argentinian visual artist Belén Gache who discusses the ideas of score in its dual instance of instruction-realization, on how the score has strong parallels with the emphasis of Conceptualism on separating conception of carrying out the work. It associates two major themes in the field of contemporary thought: that of alienated society (every society responds to a set of more or less imperative or arbitrary pre established rules that it must put into practice) and that of the notion of language as a machine (from notions such as code, algorithm, program).
