Öykü Önal's photo book, which consists of self-portraits, contains traces of the ambiguous and veiled areas of his life. The quest that the artist started when he returned to his aunt's house after years of spending his childhood summers follows the pressures of growing up. His photographs, which reveal the cynical attitude he clings to the phenomenon of identity and his own identity - or its absence - make us question our perception of privacy and the body.

Öykü Önal’ın otoportrelerinden oluşan fotoğraf kitabı, yaşamının muğlak ve örtülü alanlarından izler barındırıyor. Sanatçının çocukluk yazlarını geçirdiğini halasının evine yıllar sonra dönmesiyle başladığı arayış, büyümenin yarattığı baskıları izliyor. Kimlik olgusuna ve kendi kimliğine -ya da yokluğuna- karşı tutunduğu alaycı tavırı gözler önüne süren fotoğrafları, mahreme ve bedene dair algımızı sorgulatıyor.
