Product Description

Conceived in the middle of an art book and a catalog was published for Hello of the exhibition by Simon Giuliani Dybbroe Møller Foundation for Contemporary Art in Rome between October and January of 2011. The book has all the characteristics of a documentary catalog of the exhibition, but conceptually it is be considered a true collector's item. Citing the two-dimensionality of the book the main themes of the exhibition, which is the climax of irony and futility of non-functionality artistic process, Simon Møller Dybbroe inserted into the body of the book 280 pages fully white so that it reached the same weight of a macbookair, the instrument used by the artist during his research. The consistency and volume of the book, along with the text written by Chris Sharp and pages illustrated, are the dominant features of this publication which acquires, in this way, a value almost sculptural. Subtracting the object in its natural function, Simon Dybbroe Møller gives the book a semantic ambiguity, and redesigns and twists with ironically its practical utility.
