How 'This Is Not a Pipe' became 'This Is a Pipe' and vice versa: This Is a Pipe was one of the projects developed by the Literary Section of the"Musee d'Art Moderne, Departement des Aigles. Originally conceived in 1969, this trilingual publication would bring together Michel Foucault's text This Is Not a Pipe and Marcel Broodthaers's reactions and interventions with regard to this text. The project was never realized. The present publication is a collection of the fragments from Broodthaers's contribution that Reiner Borgemeister and Maria Gilissen were able to recover from the original project.
