Handless Guitars - vol.3 (cassette)

For this Volume 3 of Handless Guitars, the split release is handled by Alex January and David Fenech, built around the interpretation of the same constraint: playing guitars without any direct use of the hands on the strings.
While David uses springs and a vibrator to set his strings into resonance and feed his effects with their vibrations and jolts, Alex here uses two feedback guitars treated as a kind of primitive cross-modulating oscillators, in a circuit where the signal alternates between acoustic and electromagnetic.

Pour ce volume 3 de Handless Guitars, le split est tenu par Alex January et David Fenech, autour de l'interprétation d'une même contrainte, jouer de guitares sans intervention directe des mains sur les cordes.
Tandis que David utilise ressorts et vibromasseur pour mettre ses cordes, en résonance et alimenter ses effets de leur vibrations et soubresauts, Alex utilise ici deux guitares en feedback qui sont traitées comme des sortes d'oscillateurs primitifs en modulation croisée, dans un circuit où le signal est tour à tour acoustique et electro-magnétique.
