Falsche Chalets (Fake Chalets) presents a frivolous version of what is otherwise the pretty delusional bunker world of the Swiss Army, which from the inter-war years up into the 1970s was busy with no less than the total fortification of its home territory. Falsche Chalets deals with disguise and deception, with unbelievably crude to amazingly striking fake architecture. It is about unintentionally ironic copies and downright sloppy imitations of an Alps architecture that has always been disastrous.
