Product Description
- crossing lines -
is a personal collection of poems and drawings resulted during cold Berlin winters.
It forms a sequence of surreal, esoteric yet darkish set of words coming across industrial, mechanico-organic drawn figures.
Staying loyal to the - senses of the setting - and demanding an - experimental research approach - Akdar moves between various linguistic areas in English, German and Arabic when bringing articulate literary eloquence and off-dry terms to fresh but nuanced urban slang or poeticizing Math and Chemistry by channelling a multi-layered, tempo-dosed emotive sound beyond the common shadows of the abstract.
As however the handcrafted drawing process is subconscious-derived, it grows through an intrinsic filter and emerges in abnormal polydimensional shapes,
given names like 'psychotic patient in op' or 'stuck in industrial zone'.
First Publication of 100 copies on occasion
of first exhibition ' crossing lines ' in Berlin 2019.
