Product Description

Tales (Algodones Dunes, California, United States, December 2015), 2017

Tales is an ongoing photographic enquiry (2000—today). The individual series in the project depict micro-narratives of people in natural surroundings or traces of their actions. Both the photographic documents and the gaps between the images create a fragment of a tale. Often, the repositioning of the camera or the motion of the subjects suggest a sculptural gesture in the space of the image.

Daniel Gustav Cramer was born in Neuss, Germany. He is currently living and working in Berlin. Since his studies at the Royal College of Art in London, his work has been exhibited widely, amongst others at Kunsthaus Glarus, Switzerland; Kunsthalle Lissabon, Portugal; La Kunsthalle Mulhouse, France; dOCUMENTA(13), Kassel, Germany; Artists Space, NYC, USA; Salts, Biersfelden, Switzerland; CCA Vilnius, Lithuania; Kunstsaele Berlin and Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe. Since 2005 he has collaborated with Haris Epaminonda on the project The Infinite Library. So far he has produced more than thirty artist books and publications.
