Parcelle

The book "Parcelle" presents an attempt to map a delimited space. By photographing a garden in all its details the author seeks to scan the place to record it in its totality and thus to constitute a complete panoramic image. The transposition of the 137 photographs in a book divides this recording into as many separate parts, which makes it impossible to obtain the big picture.

The word "Parcelle" gives both an indication of the original place (a piece of land), the book object (a set of individual pages) and expresses the impossibility of apprehending the world as a whole (parcel vision ).
