For this album, Félicie Bazelaire drew a bittersweet landscape from her inner sound world.
Suffering from otosclerosis, a disease of the bones of the ear, Félicie Bazelaire picks up intra-corporeal sounds within herself: the beating of her heart, her blood rate, pulsatile tinnitus and buzzing sounds.
Félicie Bazelaire tamed this benign but annoying illness by considering these sounds as musical sounds. After listening to them, transcribing them then adapting them to the double bass, she organized them into contemplative polyphonic music where organic rhythms and piercing harmonies coexist.
