Product Description
Everyday scenes that may seem invisible to us are the manifested emphasis of Camila Valdés’ photographic work. The images unfolded stop time, one we inhabit in a turbulent and agitated manner, where there is no space to pause to look or think. At the same time -in line with the visual experience that we have and live through nowadays- these are swift and viral images.
Her photographies play, precisely, with that everyday nature presented to us in an unlikely manner, but that, nevertheless, also presents contradictions. Thus, and as a strategy, her work cannot be instilled from a tradition or conventionalism of what has been understood as “everyday nature”.
Copies include inserts with essays by Rodrigo Olavarría, Montserrat Rojas Corradi y Marcela Labraña designed and printed in risograph by Daniela Poch of la mano ediciones.
