Product Description
Sun Ra Bullock’s first solo album was recorded in Mexico City and Berlin, using strictly preset sounds from consumer market keyboards. All songs were recorded from scratch and in one take, without any preconceptions and no later edits or overdubs, with intuition ruling over intellect. Accidental noises and distortions were kept as they were.
The aim was to capture the vibe, the emotions, the noise, and the omnipresence of death in Mexico’s capital without the usual means of ethnification.
SRB’s first manifestation as a musician was in the noise duo Stumpf (With edelfaul co-founder Ilia Gorovitz), and as a drummer in Atomvulkan Britz (with Scary Gary Flanell). Sun Ra Bullock is a member of the Aquasonic Research Society (with Markey Funk and Wuzi Khan) and co-founder of edelfaul recordings.
