STREULICHT #4 - Touch

From emotional involvement to the process of contact printing or retouching, this time too a wide field of associations and possibilities opens up with the term our topic: touch. Skin to skin with the perception of the viewer as well as that of the subject itself, photography stands exactly at the border where glances touch and exchange. It is not for nothing that the term film in its literal meaning in English also stands for skin. The photographic sometimes reveals itself through perceptions which, apart from the purely optical sense, also challenge the tactile sense, which enables recognition through feeling, penetration and touching. We would like to use these forms of (photographic) seeing, of physical and sensual experience, as the starting point for this 4th issue of STREULICHT, a magazine for photography & related art.
