Broadsheet Issue 04 - Flexible Straw

This publication contains the work of five contributors.
Exploring a more historical approach with an introductory
story about Joseph B. Friedman, the inventor of the flexible
straw by John H. Lienhard of Engines of our Ingenuity,
an Interview with Friedman’s daughter Judith Rosen by
Christopher O’Keeffe, a short essay in conjunction with
a poster by Carl Haase, and Kreh Mellick’s illustration
of the inventor. Each contribution strives to capture, orient,
and determine how a seemingly invisible object has
influenced our lives, memories, and environment.
