L’architecture d’aujourd’hui

From the well known magazine L’achitecture d’aujourd’hui, Regina Giménez has developed a work process in which she analyzes its advertisement elements and modifies them in a way that their meaning completely changes. Through an exercise of subtraction, she has erased all the textual elements of the advertisings, revealing its graphic composition and offering another reading of these images related to the new building materials of that time. The images are gathered together with a text by Rosa Lleó, who after introducing the historical context of the magazine, jumps into a fictional layer to present us a group of characters who smoke, drink and chat -at the end, a matter of living- within this today's architecture, which considered itself as modern and timeless.
