The Dilijan Arts Observatory Newspaper was produced in Armenia by Clémentine Deliss and is based on the local newspaper, which circulates in the town of Dilijan. It was conceived as an “infiltrator”, an organ that would disseminate information about the Dilijan Arts Observatory and kick-start curiosity and interest in the development of a community archive. 2 issues were produced as posters, and 7 issues as 4 sided broadsheets, 2 with inserts. They were edited and printed during the Dilijan Arts Observatory which took place at Impuls factory in Dilijan between 22nd August-11th September 2016. The newspapers were distributed to 500 households in Dilijan and handed out to citizens and friends, mainly in Armenia. The print run varied between 500 for the first 2 editions and 1500 for the other 7. There are only 50 full sets in Berlin. As an ‘organ’, the Dilijan Arts Observatory Newspaper follows in the footsteps of ‘Metronome’ and ‘Metronome Press’, which Deliss initiated and produced between 1997-2007.
