De Bouche A Oreille - Alighiero E Boetti

Catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition "De bouche à oreille" at the Magasin, from November 27, 1993 to March 27, 1994.
The catalog presents the drawings preparatory for the weaving of the Kilims by Pakistani weavers, made by 30 French art schools and 20 art professionals, according to a single instruction: on gridded cardboard of 100 squares, fill with black felt-tip pen 1 black square for 99 white squares, then 2 whites for 98 blacks and so on up to 99 blacks for 1 white. It is the 100 drawings assembled by Alighiero Boetti in his studio in Rome that make up the chessboard.
