Product Description

With CRUDITE, Alberto Panegos brings his visceral and uncompromising aesthetic to paper. The book gathers drawings, collages, and visual fragments marked by his unmistakable style: rough lines, deformed bodies, shouted signs, and words that become scars. It is neither a catalog nor a traditional comic book: CRUDITE is an experience, a journey through contemporary outsider art where punk meets Art Brut, irony blends with eroticism, and every page becomes an anti-style manifesto.

Alberto Panegos (born in Sacile, 1982 – based in Rome) is an illustrator and visual artist whose radical aesthetic moves between punk, Art Brut, and a corrosive visual satire. Trained at the DAMS in Padua and enriched by his years in Berlin, he has developed a raw, marker-based style defined by rough lines, onomatopoeic writings, and a visual energy that speaks of deformed bodies, stripped-down symbols, and clashing dreams. His works are evocative rather than descriptive: they provoke, unsettle, and unmask. Where mass culture strives to sell symbols, Panegos deconstructs them and renders them harmless. His deformed bodies tell stories of obsession, loss, and resilience — fragile states made visible. He has exhibited in international fairs such as the Global Network Illustration Fair (Seoul 2016), participated in festivals such as Filler in Milan, and performed in Berlin. In 2025, together with Giuseppe Canegiallo, he presented COMBO, an event exploring outsider art, punk imagery, and symbolic subversion. Alberto tells stories not with words, but with signs and figures that scream silently.
