About the artist:
„Robin Kirchner’s artistic practice is shaped by the upheavals and emancipatory movements of the 1980s and 90s in Kreuzberg, Berlin, where he grew up. His works are influenced by artistic-documentary approaches as well as fashion and commercial photography. Kirchner not only often finds the protagonists for his pictures in the city’s queer club, music and art scenes, but also artistic collaborators“
– (excerpt from the exhibition booklet of TOUCH / neue Gesellschaft für Bildende Kunst, Berlin 2018)

Robin Kirchner studied at Lette-Verein Berlin and Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig in the class of Heidi Specker. He worked as an assistant for the photographers Ali Kepenek and Marcus Höhn. Nowadays he works as a freelance photographer with base in Berlin.

Since 2018 he is arranging BUST A NUT a series of events which combine elements of art, rave and performance at the former Airport Tempelhof.
