Saluto Romano

Saluto Romano is a selection of color self-portraits by Czech artist Martin Zet, photographed in various rural and urban locales throughout Europe. The images depict the artist reacting to his environment with a series of gestures that oscillate between ridiculous and poignant, sometimes mimicking the authoritarian stance of a Roman statue and other times becoming seamlessly entwined with the lines and shapes of the natural world. The book features writings by Milos Vojtechovsky, Redas Dirzys, Ron Riddell, Stephanie Benzaquen, Vasja Vasileva, Armando Montesinos, Marek Wasilewsky, Roddy Hunter, Spunk Seipel, Tex Kerschen, and Mihnea Mircan.
