Oolm

Throughout the pages of OOLM - a fluctuating and uncertain landscape - Gretta Johnson has created a magical world of portals, pathways and brick walls set to both obfuscate and create openings between her two figures who illustrate a relationship that is both sensuous and demure; cloaked and unclothed; playful and unnerving.
All drawings are made with watercolor and colored pencil on 11 x 14 inch paper.

Gretta Johnson is a visual artist living and working in NY. OOLM is her second book of drawings to be published, and her first book produced by Dark Chart House of Production. Her first book, Star Fruit, was published in 2013 with Paper Rocket Minicomics. Gretta has provided illustrations for the popular Brooklyn brewery Grimm and her drawings and animations have been featured in Intercourse Magazine, BOMB magazine, the Huffington Post and various film festivals throughout the world.
