Product Description
Making Baustellen/Construction Sites.
Construction sites pepper the landscape of Berlin today. The same holds true for Tokyo. And likely the same in every city around the world. Construction sites invoke a negative image: perhaps because they contain a sense of chaos. However, order awaits (or so would I like to believe) at the end.
"Baustellen" is the new book from Asami Togawa, born in Chiba, Japan in 1985. Landscapes are her main medium, by way of sculpture and collage. Her current projects include her solo show "Tilescapes" (Pottari, Tokyo, 2022), "The Home of [Hu]man is a Soft Town" (collaborated with Studio Gross/The 48th Nisshinkogyo Architectural Design Competition, Merit Prize, 2021) and "To The Forest" (Artist-in-residence/Konstepidem In, Gothenburg, 2022).
