Product Description
Furtive Draisine refers to Andrei Tarkovsky's Stalker, in which three protagonists clandestinely enter the "Zone" on a draisine. The drawings retrace a stroll through panoramas on a confused scale.
Made in graphite on A4 format, they experiment with a moving repertoire that oscillates between organic forms, architectural scraps, hostile landscapes and anthropomorphic figures. They are inspired by technical imagery that could be likened to military surveys, video surveillance or microscopic medical views. Some of the drawings were designed during train journeys and relate this navigation.
Used analogically, the GR3770 risograph offers a small range of options for reproduction: choice of screens, enlargement, contrasts. From these possibilities, a modification of the drawings by the machine intervened to create a reproduction exclusive to the print.
