The Narrative Body

Three essays on Garnet's art in English, French and Dutch.

An examination of a series of Garnet's narrative sculptures. The book contains the following essays: Ball-of-Fat/Bouille de Suif, by Sylvere Lotringer; Book Worms and Needle Eyes, by Bruce W. Ferguson; and The Pitfalls of Post-Modernism/De valkuilen van het Postmodernisme, by Paul Groot. These are intertwined with photographies in black and white of Eldon GArnet's sculptures, reminding of children's lead soldiers yet suddenly distorted by the hardship of everyday life under capitalism.
