Product Description

A commented republication of an essay by Ernst Marcus from 1918: Das Problem der Exzentrischen Empfindung und seine Lösung (the problem of eccentric sensation and its solution, first published by Der Sturm-Verlag, Herwarth Walden), which influenced the early Berlin avant garde in it's day and was the basis for Salomo Friedlaender/ Mynona's fantastic novel "Graue Magie" from 1922. The philosopher Ernst Moses Marcus developed the ether theory of Kant's Opus postumum into an eccentric theory of perception. The booklett was published as part of the exhibition GREY MAGIC by Christoph Keller at Esther Schipper Berlin in June 2015. (an English preface is available).
