Allen Ruppersberg: Books, Inc.

I am an artist, and as an artist I can do anything. In 1972-73 I did my video, A Lecure on Houdini. This is all part of escaping from the studio and art history. The artist does not have to do just one thing. An artist can write, paint, make video, a sculpture. I did all of them and that's what I do and I think it's important. The use of multiple disciplines is what makes things interesting.
