72 Colourmarks

The legislation that reformed trademark law in 1995 allows corporations to trademark colours as part of their corporate identity. Back then, purple / violet was registered as the first colour trademark in connection with chocolate at the patent and trademark office. Since then, an increasing number of corporations have competed for the title to the intellectual property of “their” colours.
