The first book Anna Bühler and Julia Schonlau worked together on was a textbook for illiterates. The collaboration was successful so they teamed up for a new project: the pocket diary. First launched in 2006, they self-distributed the books by sometimes balancing precarious stacks in their bicycle baskets. What fuels them is their love for drawing and their admiration of other people’s drawings.

The 2011 pocket diary/daily calendar is interspersed with illustrations from 12 artists.

loving and leaving leipzig, a second girl or a first boy? a new profession!, start ending, love and hope, fortune, take of, the dragon, the tiger in you, lucky charms, lucky numbers, friendship, broken cars broken arrows, outrageous hairdos, alles unter einen Hut kriegen, schnaps, twins, den-winter-mach-ich-nicht-mehr-mit, travelling through time and space. the year, young and motivated detective officers kicking off professionally. finally being true to yourself, great adventures, progress and deeper understanding, the best time of my life, sketching power!, an undiscovered adventure, my redemption! excitement (? fingers crossed!), ornithology, work and play, Good luck? complete recommencement on all levels ... good and bad ... and a complete change of scene days after 2010, Diego Córdova, Noam becoming a first-grader, and Alvar 4! learning to disfrutar del viaje :) eigenes Auto! love in full bloom/ long-distance friendship/ becoming one year older ... the nudibranch, change of my life! HEARTCORES ...ULI ...Matilda ...serenity, new life, schnack, donuts and doodles, rocket salad and noodles,
a new beginning, nuclear superpowers, no bad luck, 2011 is the year of hand done lettering, no computers are allowed to draw fonts for lazy people – it has to be hand done or not at all. just kidding, well sorta kidding. it would be rad though. think if newspapers were hand done like zines. read more zines and less blogs for 2011-if you can. later- rich jacobs, gravity becoming a big nuisance to the people of earth, 11111011011, settling down, ...
