20 Seconds Issue 1

20 Seconds is a print-only magazine for experiential music and art. In fact, it is more than that. It is a manifestation and a declaration. Together, as writers, readers, photographers, poets and artists of various disciplines and dispositions, we have collected our perspectives. Now we are ready to share them with a growing community. Independence has always been our means and our goal. Creatively, financially and spiritually, we examine the issues that matter to us. Whether through the criticism of cultural scholars such as Andrew Hicks, the living archive of the choreographer Katja Heitmann or the conceptual challenges of artists like Grischa Lichtenberger, we are determined to reflect inward as well as outward. It is a process full of contradictions. For us, it's part of what makes it so real, along with our compliance with all its ambiguities.
