Wings on the Ceiling is a limited-edition vinyl release by experimental artist Front Page Leslie, issued on moli del tro records in November 2025. This thoughtfully crafted record blends melancholic, neo-classical and downtempo influences into a concise, immersive listening experience that spans seven tracks and roughly 17 minutes. It was created in a singular burst of inspiration — reportedly composed on piano during an intense, intimate period — giving the work an emotional depth that resonates through both instrumental and vocal moments. The white LP edition was pressed in a run of only 100 copies, making it a distinctive collector’s item for fans of avant-garde and atmospheric music.


Front Page Leslie wrote this album in one go, for his love, on the piano in the common room during a stay at the clinic. That singular context makes it a work apart, with little connection to the previous or the next, a spontaneous drift tinged with melancholic, neo-classical and trip-hop hues.

"Au bout d’un long couloir, la lumière des néons blancs éclaire un piano désaccordé.
Ses notes me rappellent le sourire énigmatique d’un chat tigré.
J’appuie sur chacune de ses dents au rythme qui m’est soufflé à l’oreille.
Cette voix, je la connais : c’est celle de la personne que j’aime.
Quand elle me parle, tout s’efface autour de moi. Même l’endroit où je suis.
Autour de moi, ce ne sont que des ombres qui déambulent. Certaines me crient d’arrêter de jouer.
Ils sont fous… ou peut-être que c’est moi qui perds la tête.
Ce qui est sûr, c’est que je ne m’arrêterai pas de jouer avant qu’elle ait fini de chanter.
Cet album a été écrit lors d’une hospitalisation à la clinique Saint-Michel inspiré d’un amour qui me souffle les mélodies"
