WANDELING DOOR ARNHEM

Als je 'Wandeling door Arnhem' van achter naar voor doorbladert, zie je dat de toevallig gefotografeerde passant een personage wordt. Deze hoofdpersoon wandelt door Arnhem, door 120 jaar veranderend straatbeeld; door vooroorlogse straten en langs gebouwen die al lang verdwenen zijn. Het flipboek verbeeldt op originele wijze een stad die constant in beweging is. 'Wandeling door Arnhem' is een project van kunstenaar Bas Fontein in opdracht van Productiehuis Plaatsmaken, mede mogelijk gemaakt door het Fonds Cultuur van de Gemeente Arnhem en het Gelders Archief.

WALK THROUGH ARNHEM

While leafing through ‘Walk through Arnhem’ from back to front, you can see that the passer-by, who is photographed accidentally, becomes a character. This main figure walks through Arnhem, through 120 years of changing street scenes, prewar streets and buildings that have long disappeared. The flip book uniquely shows a city in constant motion. ‘Walk through Arnhem’ is a project by Dutch artist Bas Fontein, commissioned by Productiehuis Plaatsmaken, made possible thanks to the Culture Fund of the City of Arnhem and the Gelders Archief.
