This elegantly produced edition showcases Allyson Vieira's drawings and writing on the formal and ideological connections between Periclean Greece, the American and French Revolutions and twentieth century Minimalism. Using a palette of blue, red, and white, the works constellate around a common center that includes Euclid, Pericles, and Athena Polias.

Allyson Vieira's first solo museum show was at the Kunsthalle Basel in September, 2013, a show that will also travel to the Swiss Institute in New York. She is represented by Laurel Gitlen Gallery in New York and has shown at Non Objectif Sud in Tulette, France; Monica de Cardenas in Milan; and The Breeder in Athens, Greece. In 2013 she exhibited two public sculputres, one at the Metrotech Center in Brooklyn commissioned by Public Art Fund and one on the High Line curated by Cecile Alemani. Her work has been included in many group exhibitions including "A Handful of Dust" at the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum; "Queens International 2012" at the Queens Museum; "Painting and Sculpture" at Lehmann Maupin, 2010; "Knight's Move" at Sculpture Center, 2010; "Evading Customs" at Brown Gallery, London, 2009; "#18: Take Care" at Champion Fine Arts in Brooklyn, 2004; "Freedom Salon" at Deitch Projects, 2004. Vieira has an MFA in sculpture at BARD and a BA from Cooper Union.
