New York-based artist Alexandre Singh's Faustian novella reimagines the life of Adi Dassler, founder of Adidas, in a world of reversed time and geography in which America is the Old World, and Europe a new frontier populated by geometry-worshipping primitives. This limited and signed edition includes Singh's 1080-page “Dictionary of a Synæsthetic Language,” nine Wikipedia-style essays, the original story and 18 hand-tipped color photographs.

This book seeks to represent Alexandre Singh's multilayered project, ''The Marque of the Third Stripe.'' The 1,100 page book features essays written in the manner of Wikipedia entries, 18 hand-tipped images of the installations and a 1,080 page dictionary of Singh's unique graphic hieroglyphs. The typography is a mash-up of wikipedia styling and traditional, beautiful book design from the 19th century. A bookmark is included to both help mark progress through the 1000+ pages and also to serve as a key to Singh's intentional use of pronunciation notations.
