(Sätze, Sprünge)

(Sätze, Sprünge) is a text based publication by visual artist Aurelio Kopainig. It contains records/notes (observations, ideas, word collections and quotes) from January 2003 until August 2016. A follow-up publication to »Man kann dem Wandern der Schatten zusehen« from 2003.

Aurelio Kopainig (CH, *1979, lives in Berlin and Buenos Aires) studied at the Zurich University of Art (1997–98), Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and the San Francisco Art Institute (2000–03). In his work he investigates and focusses on the relationship between us and nature – primarily by reference to agriculture, science, plant life and economy – and on arising contemporary conflicts. A main field of his research deals with the problematic issues accompanying the transition into the biotechnological age, the food- and agro-industrial mode of production and the paradigm of bio-economy, with Argentina as its principal geographical location and as model case.
