In the realm of creation, it is always necessary to consider the individual will of the artist, the great ability to place oneself both against the conventional reality and deeply from within.
To build upon a "provisional" framework with an open mind, knowing that part of the work will be to reconsider and possibly change it altogether.
There was a need for a beginning which would not contain its own conclusion!!
Our desire: to offer the artist a privileged space, simultaneously outside and within time.
Our will: to give Les Ateliers des Arques an artistic dimension.
Our goal: to "inhabit" Les Arques, together, for the duration of a residency.
