La voie négative / The negative way (book + CD)

Born in 1961 in Paris, classically trained percussionist Lê Quan Ninh has, since the early 1980s, pursued a musical career divided between the performance of contemporary music and free improvisation.
He was one of the founding members of the Quatuor Hêlios, a percussion ensemble active from 1986 to 2012. Together with cellist Martine Altenburger, he founded in 2006 the ensemble ]h[iatus, a European contemporary music group whose members are both performers and improvisers.
He has worked as a host on community radio stations Radio Libertaire, Canal Sud, and Radio Pays de Guéret. He was also a member of the artists’ collective La Flibuste.
He serves as one of the volunteer artistic advisors for the association Ryoanji/Epicentre, Territoire de l'écoute, and for the festival Le Bruit de la Musique. He is currently the president of Sonatura, the association of French-speaking audio naturalists.
