Ilona Valkonen: Between Science and Melancholia

Ilona Valkonen (b.1980) is a visual artist living and working in Loviisa, Finland. In this artist’s book her new paintings have been installed in the milieu, which is dominated by crude concrete surfaces and authentic graffiti paintings. Valkonen places her work exposed to the random color scheme. The works grow in the background and adopt the graffiti surface into their own design.
